Here are some of my favorite things for our new baby girl...A sweet picture frame that I found for her ultrasound photo... It says "Love at First Sight"
I love polka dots and this dress! Of course, more pink!
Some of my "mommy" friends have been telling me about these nursing covers affectionately called "Hooter Hiders". I thought they were so cute, however they are almost $40! So, I embarked on my first sewing adventure and sewed one. It came out pretty good, after LOTS of patience with the sewing machine!

Hopefully, more to come soon! I think I'm already missing all of my crafty projects that I used to do during the summer to prepare for school. Now I am all about projects for Jacob and baby #2.
I love the new girly things! I know you are having fun shopping! I especially love the "hooter hider"! How did you make it? I'm dying to try and make it!
ReplyDeleteThe best directions I have found online are on this blog... http://madebythemamamonster.blogspot.com/2008/04/nursing-cover-tutorial.html
ReplyDeleteIt really was very simple! You could definitely do it. I found directions for making some really cute tote diaper bags so when I finish the bedding, I think that will be my next project. If I don't get the Vera Bradley Cupcakes Pink bag I'm begging for, I'll have some alternatives! (Jason-- Hint! Hint!) :)
By the way...the fabric, and materials for it were only about $8!
ReplyDeleteHaha! I love the hint to Jason! I'm going to buy the stuff today to make the hooter hider.... I'm so excited! I'll let you know how it turns out!!
